There is no standalone graduate permit. What exists is better: for 12 months after a Level 8 or higher award, both the General and Critical Skills permits open at lower thresholds. Our team check your role, salary and timing against both.

The route at a glance
The 12-month window
The reduced rates apply only where your Level 8+ award is within 12 months of the application. Miss it and the standard €36,605 or €40,904 thresholds apply.
Which rate fits
€34,009 on the General permit needs a relevant Irish Level 8+ degree; €36,848 on Critical Skills accepts a relevant award from any recognised third-level institution.
Role and salary checks
We check the occupation against the lists, confirm the offer clears the graduate rate on basic pay, and flag the red flags that lead to refusal.
Where it leads
The permit moves you from Stamp 1G to Stamp 1, then normal permit rules and the route to Stamp 4 apply.
